| Chardonnay - Smooth, powerful and intense wines of great
complexity. Wild yeast, lees and elegant, well-integrated oak combine with Tallarook’s intense green
melon and citrus flavours, to form a harmonious palate with deeply satisfying texture and lingering, savoury
aftertaste.
Marsanne - Full bodied, rich and smooth, these wines display intriguing
aromas, evolving to a complex range of flavours on the palate. Smooth yeast creaminess tends to be tempered
by characteristic varietal chalkiness. These wines promise increased richness and interest with bottle
age.
Pinot Noir - Grown on the ancient soils of our elevated Tallarook vineyards
in Central Victoria, this current vintage has derived its characteristics from a low cropping year with
favourable ripening conditions and our traditional winemaking methods.
The wine shows raspberry, spice, black cherry and sweet oak in fine balance and,
with mature tannins, results in a long, rich palate of excellent structure. Cellaring of up to five years
(2007) will see further improvement.
Shiraz Viognier - Elegant, harmonious and complex wines, usually of medium palate
weight. Intense blackberry aromas with hints of black pepper, pointing to the wines’ Central Victorian
origin, combine with French oak clove and vanilla, enhancing the fruit sweetness on the nose, usually
with great consistency on the palate. These are elegant, complex wines that age gracefully. |
